Work done today:

  • Most of the remaining concrete slab of Stage 3 stripped and polished
  • Sealant applied to most of the same area (see photo below for exception)
  • Additional restoration of pavers to some patios

In the photo above, you can where work was done to cut pavers. This requires the use of tools that use water to prevent overheating from the blade. The water flowed down onto the concrete slab (direction indicated by white arrow) and into the area circled in red, preventing them from finishing applying the sealant, as the area must be clean and dry. The circled area shows exposed concrete slab, with sealant to the left and membrane (previously applied) to the right. Why the workers chose to cut pavers so close to an active work area–which then compromised the work area–is a question left to the reader.

Work Start Date: May 4, 2026 (for emergency repairs) 
Expected completion: February 2027 (new, was December 2026)

  • Pavers put back or partially restored on four patios
  • Membrane completed on four of the five Building 240 patios
  • Initial clearing of the last area on the south side of the parking lot, to allow for removal of old membrane
