I will add a few things the (revised) Prostar notice didn’t mention:

  • Deliveries and mail will still happen.
  • Parking will not be permitted in the driveway area, except for deliveries/mail.
  • Access to the 244 and 248 underground parking will be unaffected.
  • Emergency vehicles will still have access to all three buildings.
  • The closest free parking is on Richmond Street, though there are various free spots available elsewhere, such as Hume Park, etc. and paid parking is available on Columbia Street.

Enterphone replacement notice

This was an official notice sent out by Quay Pacific by email. The full text is below.

Dear Owners & Tenants,

The enterphone to each building has been replaced.

Your new buzzer code is the same 4 digits of your unit number.

If your enterphone buzzer does not work, you must email the Caretaker copperstonecaretaker@gmail.com and provide the following information:

Your Unit #:

Name to be displayed on the Enterphone:

Phone number that will connect to Enterphone:

Please note that long distance numbers will not be accepted.

As I mentioned before, the key to buzz the door open is now the asterisk (*), not the zero key (0) or 9 key.

  • Actual closure started on August 5
  • Notice to owners sent August 7, but dated August 6

Speaking of updates, Prostar has had people onsite and working since May 4, 2026. Here is an update on what has been finished in that 3+ month period:

  • The Phase 1 extension is incomplete
  • The emergency area is incomplete
  • The Stage 3 area is incomplete
  • The patios are incomplete

  • The partial restoration of pavers in front of Building 244 is so out of alignment you get this:

UPDATE, 7 pm, July 9, 2026: Work was actually completed a day early, access to the 244 main entrance is now open.

As the title states, Prostar has released the following notice stating the Building 244 main entrance will be open again to pedestrian access by tomorrow, July 10, 2026:

Today, Quay Pacific prematurely sent out a notice regarding the temporary closure of the 244 building entrance. A short time later, a revised notice was sent out. I will be providing both notices below.

Also unlike Prostar, I’ll include a map of the entrances and exits of the 244 building.

Here is a map showing the exits and entrances to the 244 building.

With the main entrance closed, you can exit and enter the 244 building as follows:

  • Exit only: Through the fire door immediately to the left of the main entrance. No key or fob required.
  • Exit only: Through the fire door at the east end of the hallway on the first floor. No key or fob required.
  • Exit and entrance: Through the door to the left of the underground parking entrance. This requires a fob for entry into the building, same as the main entrance.
