No work onsite today.

I don’t have anything official to back this up, but based on the work completed and some designs that are pending approval, we may not see any workers onsite for a few days.

From Update 5, which should be going out to owners soon, here’s what’s left for the project:

1. Drainage work around the ventilation shaft.
2. Allan block wall to be re-assembled behind the ventilation shaft.
3. Membrane design for the three pipes on the south side of the 248 building.
4. Filling the excavation at the end of the walkway to allow access to the stairs leading to the hospital lane. This will be a temporary design until Phase 2 begins (design is under review).
5. Replacement of spray insulation that has fallen in the parkade.
6. Repairing cracks in the parkade ceiling in areas noted by Strata Engineering.

On #4, workers have created a temporary bridge over the open area, allowing residents and visitors to access the stairway leading up to the hospital lane.

I thought it was worth highlighting separately that the path and staircase leading to the hospital lane are now open again for the first time since August 2025, as workers have put in place a temporary bridge to cover the exposed area near the foot of the path adjacent to the visitor parking. Enjoy the restored access!

Work done today:

• Continued placement and work on Allan blocks between the 244 and 248 buildings
• Clean-up of open area at edge of the visitor parking
• Construction of temporary path over open area, to allow re-opening of sidewalk and stairs
• Raking/levelling of the topsoil in all areas
• Work on crack repairs in the underground parkade
• Workers onsite: At least five
• Strata Engineering was also onsite for inspection of current work

Work done today:

• Affected patios and wooden beam were power-washed and all construction material removed
• Down spouts were put back in place
• Pavers for the sidewalk leading to the staircase have been extended farther out toward the parking lot
• Additional Allan blocks have been placed alongside the pavers, with capping stones on top
• The first tier of the retaining wall behind the 244 building has been cleaned, with construction materials removed
• Workers onsite: At least four

One thing I neglected to mention from before is the two light posts between the 244 and 248 buildings were recently reconnected to the electrical system, so they are working again.
