Work done today:

• Power-washing to remove remaining membrane material (residue) continued.
• Stucco removed from along the base of 244 building in the space between 244 and 248 buildings and the west side of the 244 building adjacent to the hospital.
• Small section of stone cladding removed from the 244 building (see photo below) in preparation for the required eight-inch overlap of new membrane material that will extend up higher than the previous membrane.
• Workers onsite: Observed at least four.

• Continued removal of membrane (apparently using a power washer of some type).
• Removal of stone cladding along bottom edge of building in preparation for extended membrane application, using a hammer and chisel.

• Two people observed doing inspection of work area, likely from Strata Engineering, as they do inspections prior to the biweekly status meetings.
• Workers onsite: 2, possibly more.

Work done today:

• Electrical box and wiring from 244 building have been removed. These will be restored after application of the new membrane material, in a different configuration that will not affect the membrane.
• Krystol waterproofing material applied around the ventilation shed adjacent to the 244 building as extra protection before the new membrane is installed (this is sometimes referred to as “Kryton” material, but that is the company name: https://www.kryton.com/)
• Rubber patches have been temporarily applied on the concrete slab between the 244 and 248 buildings to help prevent leakage until the new membrane is applied.
• Workers onsite: At least two.

The new membrane should be installed next week and application is expected to take several days. The new material does not require pristine, dry conditions, so weather will not be a significant factor.
