Lately we’ve had two problems:
- People overfilling the garbage bins in the 244 garbage room
- People putting cardboard into the garbage bins
There are three garbage bins in the 244 garbage room. They are all directly beside each other. It is literally a few extra steps to go to the one farthest from the door. If the first bin (or any other) is full (garbage is past the top of the bin and is forming a “mound” on top), DO NOT USE THAT BIN. Use one of the other two bins.
Cardboard only goes in the bins that are marked specifically for Flattened Cardboard Only. These are past the regular garbage bins and are clearly marked.
When bins are overfull or cardboard is put in the wrong bin, Waste Management charges extra, a cost that is carried by all owners and is 100% unnecessary if people dispose of waste and cardboard properly.
