Work done today:
- Initial work in placing the root barrier between the 244 and 248 buildings
- Initial work in placing the root barrier behind the 244 building
- Metal flashing completed on patios
- Workers onsite: At least four observed
The root barrier is a thick, cloth-like cover that is permeable to allow moisture through, but with a fine mesh designed to inhibit roots from penetrating. It is laid on top of the membrane to protect it from any plants or trees growing above.
